I’ve been really busy with school lately, but I have noticed a few tidbits of stuff that I’ll quickly post. Later on, I’ll get back to philosophy and other interests that I have. I promise!

- Santorum is simply wrong that marriage has been around since the first humans. We even have anthropological proof of that. Check out how coupling, marriage, and other forms of relationships got started. Hint: monogamy wasn’t the first type of relationship.
- And finally, this interesting piece about how heterosexuality was invented by instilling norms from Freud and the science therein. In other words, this notion is only about over 100 years old. The categories of sexual identity was very fluid for both genders. But now, with these categorizations, the idea has become one is either heterosexual or homosexual, and everything else in between is a discrete shade, but never fluid. It reminds me of a Foucaultian power dynamic where language brings about a new way of categorization.
