Half-Hour Hegel

Dr. Gregory B. Sadler is doing the entirety of Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit, paragraph by paragraph, for a half an hour each time.  The playlist is below, and it’s an ongoing project.  As of this writing, there are 73 videos so far but this looks really promising for those who want a close reading of Hegel.  Below is Preface, sec. 1:

About shaunmiller

I am an assistant professor (LTR) at Dalhousie University. My ideas are not associated with my employer; they are expressions of my own thoughts and ideas. Some of them are just musings while others could be serious discussions that could turn into a bigger project. Besides philosophy, I enjoy martial arts (Kuk Sool Won), playing my violin, enjoying coffee around town, and experimenting with new food.

Was just doing a search on “Half Hour Hegel” to see what other media stuff was out there about the project, and came across your post.

I’m happy to say that today, I’m shooting footage for #94 and #95, and we’re set to finish the entire “Self-Consciousness” section. I’m also now living in downtown Milwaukee, not far from Marquette.
